The Coordinator’s duties encompass maintaining an accurate and comprehensive membership database, managing membership financial transactions, generating insightful reports, and developing targeted membership campaigns. A significant part of the role includes identifying revenue-generating opportunities through event programming and facility rentals while overseeing all logistics related to events, rentals, and member services. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence the museum’s audience development and fundraising efforts by creating memorable event experiences and strengthening meaningful relationships with members and donors.
LSU values candidates who bring a blend of innovative thinking, organizational expertise, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in database management, financial tracking, event planning, and marketing collaboration. They will also exhibit strong communication skills, capable of serving as the primary contact for members and effectively coordinating with external vendors and internal teams. This position supports LSU’s mission of providing high-quality art education and cultural enrichment to the region while promoting sustainable growth of the museum’s membership base and event offerings.
The employment type for this role is professional/unclassified, with a pay grade classified as professional hourly. LSU offers an outstanding benefits package that includes health, life, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; retirement plans; various leave options; paid holidays; wellness programs; tuition exemption for qualified employees; training and development opportunities; and employee discounts. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment background check. The posted opportunity is open until May 12, 2026, or until filled, allowing for a thorough search to find the best candidate who aligns with the museum’s goals and values.
This position represents a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the LSU Museum of Art’s mission by supporting its membership and event strategies aimed at enriching cultural experiences and fostering community relationships.
