The Logistics Coordinator role at Nestle’s Denver plant is a vital position supporting warehouse operations crucial to the company’s supply chain and production workflows. The incumbent is tasked with coordinating receiving and shipping activities in the finished goods warehouse to ensure the smooth, accurate, and timely loading and unloading of inventory. This role involves managing dock operations, overseeing workload assignments to forklift operators, and supporting system-based technical troubleshooting, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and worker safety.

A key responsibility lies in utilizing warehouse management systems to facilitate the prioritization of loading/unloading tasks while aligning dock capacity with shipping requirements. The coordinator must also monitor the status of replenishment orders, ensuring inventory availability aligns with production and shipment schedules. This position supports data accuracy by managing pick lists and shipping documentation and provides necessary training and procedural documentation alongside management.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years clerical or clerk experience in a warehouse manufacturing military or related environment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting
  • basic computer skills including warehouse management systems
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • willingness to assist with training and documentation

Job Duties

  • utilize various information system tools to prioritize and manage loading and unloading workload
  • coordinate dock operations including dock door assignment and trailer spotting to maximize capacity and ensure proper workload sequencing
  • assign loading and unloading work to forklift operators highlighting special packaging or inventory requirements
  • monitor intra-plant and inter-plant replenishment orders for timely product arrival
  • print pick lists review completed pick lists for accuracy enter order adjustments and shipping paperwork
  • provide systems technical assistance resolving WMS exceptions RF problems inventory variances and other operational issues
  • assist manager and team leaders in documenting procedures training new hires and evaluating team performance
