Algonquin’s mission is to sustain energy and water for life while bettering the lives of its customers and communities. The company fosters an environment that encourages teamwork, entrepreneurial spirit, ownership mindset, continuous learning, and outcome-focused results.
The Coordinator II, Resource Planning role at Algonquin is vital to ensuring the smooth operation and coordination of emergency and non-emergency work across field resources. This role supports various capital and operational activities such as construction, compliance, maintenance, and customer service functions to guarantee projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, with accurate documentation. This role particularly acts as the main point of contact for the New Services Team or customers regarding updates on the status of service installations, including permitting, planning, engineering, and construction activities. The Coordinator II facilitates the delivery of gas service installations, relocations, and customer-driven projects by acting as a liaison between field operations, engineering, construction, and sales teams, promoting efficient and customer-focused service.
This position also manages and maintains accurate construction and operational data, reviews daily reports, enters data into the SAP system, matches invoices with daily work slips, and oversees Service Entry Sheet approvals. Beyond operational coordination, the role involves supporting project scheduling, expenditure tracking, contractor collaboration, and producing periodic operational and financial reports to aid multiple departments such as Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance. As a central communication hub, the Coordinator handles customer inquiries, appointment scheduling, and updates about new service installations and relocation requests, ensuring a high standard of customer service. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and involves a blend of office-based work with occasional site visits, supported by a valid driver’s license. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $28.63 to $42.95 depending on experience. This position represents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a forward-looking utility company dedicated to sustainability, innovation, and community value.
