The role of the Group Dining & Events Coordinator at Resorts World Las Vegas is a pivotal position that contributes directly to the resort’s revenue and market presence. This role involves contracting and servicing group dining and event business across the resort’s extensive portfolio of food and beverage venues. A critical aspect of this position is to generate substantial revenue streams by effectively managing group bookings and coordinating events that range from intimate dinners to large-scale functions. The coordinator works closely with the Group Dining Managers and Directors to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction.

This position demands a mix of strategic planning, administrative excellence, and customer-focused service. The coordinator is responsible for monitoring and assigning daily leads, maintaining and updating event information within management systems, and creating customized menus tailored to group needs. Additionally, the coordinator facilitates vendor logistics, assists with purchase orders, and supports team operations during various shifts that may include nights, early mornings, and weekends based on business volume. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask are essential to thrive in this dynamic role.

Furthermore, the role includes conducting client site tours, pre-event planning, and post-event follow-up meetings to promote client satisfaction and foster repeat business. Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor is important, as is upholding company policies regarding licensing and operational procedures. Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licenses: health card, alcohol awareness card

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in hotel sales, catering sales, restaurant sales or event planning
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment, communicate well, and provide feedback to fellow members of the team to achieve mutual goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Monitoring daily leads including Tripleseat, email inquiries, and voicemails - assigning to managers in accordance with manager thresholds
  • Maintaining information in Tripleseat - entering, assigning, and turning down leads
  • Creating, printing, and delivering custom menus
  • Pulling and distributing weekly reports
  • Assisting with loading dock forms, COI’s, and vendor logistics - including assisting with vendor load-in at various hours
  • Assisting with purchase orders to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Supporting group dining managers and directors with daily tasks including various shifts as needed
  • Conduct client site tours, pre-event planning, and post-event follow-up meetings
  • Booking and servicing small group dinners and happy hours (20 guests or less)
  • Maintaining a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
  • Ensuring that required licensing is maintained and updated
  • Using personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks
  • Performing other job-related duties as requested
