The Coordinator for Athletics Venues and Operations at Texas A&M University serves a critical role within the Athletic Director's department, primarily based on the main campus in College Station. This staff position provides essential coordination and administrative support for the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance of special event operations and athletic venues on campus. The role requires collaboration with the Assistant Manager of Main Campus Operations and other personnel to ensure efficient venue management and smooth operational activities. Responsibilities include identifying and addressing maintenance issues at key facilities such as Kyle Field, Bright-Slocum Building, Davis Player Development Center, and the Coolidge Football Performance Center, coordinating staff for venue requests including furniture and equipment moves, and conducting regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, safety, and accessibility.
The Coordinator is integral in managing event and game day operations, including overseeing the setup and breakdown of events, supervising student assistants, and ensuring compliance with access management and branding guidelines. The role also involves general administrative duties such as maintaining venue operation guides and recommending policy improvements, alongside a commitment to compliance with NCAA, SEC, and university regulations. This position demands a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, an ability to multitask effectively, and excellent communication capabilities, particularly in coordinating with diverse teams to achieve operational goals.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of experience in the live event industry or prior event operations work experience
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple tasks
- Familiarity with NCAA, SEC, and university rules and regulations
- Ability to manage maintenance and operational tasks
- Proactive and detail-oriented work approach
- Ability to supervise student assistants and coordinate staff
- Willingness to serve as after-hours contact for venues
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years experience in live event industry or event operations
- Knowledge of building management and venue operations preferred
- Familiarity with power tools preferred
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of NCAA and SEC Conference rules and regulations preferred
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively
- Ability to allocate work assignments effectively
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have fun
Job Duties
- Identify maintenance issues throughout main campus athletic venues including coordinating repairs
- Coordinate staff with venue requests such as furniture and equipment moves and light maintenance
- Prepare and track work orders and communicate with coaches and staff
- Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness, orderliness, safety, and passage
- Monitor media to identify events affecting facilities and resources
- Coordinate maintenance of supply inventory and equipment storage
- Serve as after-hours contact for assigned venues
- Oversee setup and breakdown of special events and supervise student assistants
- Assist with daily operations at main campus venues and football game days at Kyle Field
- Coordinate with access management and maintain venue operations guides
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University rules and communicate these to staff
- Support Athletics Department initiatives and enforce regulations
