Job Description

The Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) is a premier business organization dedicated to supporting economic growth and prosperity in the Dallas region. It serves as a dynamic hub for businesses by promoting strategies that foster the business community and ensuring that the Dallas area remains a competitive and attractive place for companies and talent alike. The Chamber focuses on advocacy, networking, and providing valuable resources to its members who span various industries across the region.

As part of the Communications, Marketing, and Events Department, the Events Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Chamber's mission by assisting in the planning, coordination, and successful execution of a variety of events. This role works closely with the Communications team who elevate the public image of the DRC through strategic messaging, public relations, and marketing efforts. It also supports the Marketing team responsible for digital marketing, social media outreach, and overall brand strategy. Within the Events department, the coordinator assists with logistics for business meetings, council sessions, task force meetings, and large-scale Chamber programs.

This full-time role is focused on hands-on support including managing event registrations, coordinating room setups, handling catering orders, and creating event materials such as name tags. The coordinator will also assist with CRM data management using Salesforce and Nimble platforms, help maintain day-to-day functions within the event management software (Cvent), and provide critical administrative support to ensure smooth operations. The role calls for an adaptable team player who is eager to build strong relationships both internally and with external partners and vendors.

Job Requirements

  • Database and event management software experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with high degree of accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
  • Interest in learning event processes and execution
  • Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and external partners
  • Ability to be resourceful, proactive, and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding communication skills including writing and verbal presentations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning and execution of DRC events including placing catering orders for council/task force meetings, creation of name tags, support the event registration process and coordinating room set ups
  • Attend and participate in event planning check in meetings to ensure successful meetings and events
  • Support CRM data processing (Salesforce/Nimble)
  • Design, build, and deliver tailored solutions for the business using Salesforce and other connected technologies
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support within the event management software (Cvent)
  • Ability to use role-specific CRM platforms and event systems without supervision
  • Be a team-player and willing to assist wherever necessary
