Job Description

Le Moyne College, located in Syracuse, N.Y., is an independent college founded in 1946 by the Jesuits. It is dedicated to providing students with a values-based, comprehensive academic program aimed at fostering intellectual excellence and preparing them for lives of leadership and service. Over the years, Le Moyne has developed into a nationally acclaimed institution focusing on liberal arts and sciences, attracting a diverse student body from across the United States and abroad. The college emphasizes a holistic approach to education grounded in Catholic and Jesuit traditions, promoting not only intellectual growth but also moral and spiritual development. This dedication to whole-person education is central to its mission to prepare students for meaningful personal and professional lives that contribute to a more just society. Le Moyne also values diversity and inclusiveness and seeks individuals who bring innovation, creativity, and impactful contributions to its vibrant campus community.

The position of Campus Visit Coordinator plays a pivotal role in Le Moyne College’s admissions and recruitment efforts. Working closely with the admissions management team, the coordinator is responsible for creating, managing, and continuously improving the campus visit experience for prospective students and their families. This role involves extensive communication with visitors and members of the college community, managing data entry, preparing admissions materials, and providing direct interaction with guests to ensure an informative and welcoming visit. Serving additionally as the In-House Admission Counselor, the coordinator meets prospective students and families during peak travel seasons and covers some weekly visit sessions.

Further responsibilities include managing group visits, scheduling presentations, and overseeing the Student Ambassador/Tour Guide program. The coordinator manages the training, scheduling, and supervision of approximately 40 student ambassadors, ensuring that campus tours and visit sessions run smoothly and effectively. Collaboration with academic departments and campus partners ensures that signage and directional information are clear and up-to-date. The coordinator also assists with the development of training materials and digital resources to support volunteer engagement, manages website and social media content, and coordinates with the Director for Enrollment Marketing to align messaging regarding visit programs.

The role requires supporting key campus enrollment events, such as Open Houses, Accepted Students Day, and yield receptions. Additional duties include conducting admission interviews, participating in application decision-making, and occasionally traveling locally to support recruitment activities. The Campus Visit Coordinator evaluates prospective students’ application materials and leads high-volume interviews and large group presentations during peak seasons. Analytical responsibilities involve reviewing survey results to recommend enhancements to the campus visit experience.

All staff at Le Moyne are expected to demonstrate the college’s mission-based competencies—collaboration, communication, diversity, integrity, leadership, and service—in all interactions. The coordinator must maintain professionalism and kindness, adhere strictly to policies and regulations, engage in ongoing professional development, and embrace digital literacy to enhance operational efficiency. This full-time hourly position offers a pay range of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour and comes with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement contributions, tuition coverage, and generous time off, among others. The college is committed to equal employment opportunity, fostering an inclusive work environment free from discrimination or harassment.
