Job Description

The University of North Florida (UNF) is a Carnegie Community Engaged Institution dedicated to fostering collaboration with local and global community partners to promote public good and prepare educated, engaged citizens. Within its vibrant campus located in Jacksonville, Florida, UNF hosts various colleges and centers geared toward advancing education, research, and community involvement. One such cornerstone is the Coggin College of Business (CCB), which embraces a mission of providing innovative learning experiences in business while maintaining strong ties with industry and the community. Within the CCB operates the Crowley Center for Transportation and Logistics (CCTL), a hub focused on fostering excellence in transportation, logistics, and supply chain education and research.

The CCTL plays a vital role in both academic and professional development by offering programs, events, and resources tailored to students, faculty, and business partners. To maintain seamless operations and enhance the effectiveness of its initiatives, the Crowley Center is currently seeking a committed and highly organized Coordinator. This position is a key administrative role supporting the center and the Coggin College of Business by providing essential coordination for budget monitoring, travel arrangements, event planning, and general office functions.

The Coordinator role at CCTL is designed to ensure fluid support for the center's numerous activities and foster strong relationships among its stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, and external partners. With an annual salary of $40,000, this position involves close collaboration with the Center Director and the Dean's Office to implement successful financial tracking, oversee travel logistics, and coordinate events ranging from workshops to an annual Intermodal case competition hosted at UNF. The role demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with university policies and contributing to the greater mission of the College and University.

Beyond administrative duties, the Coordinator may also represent CCTL and CCB at professional conferences and in local business organizations, enhancing the center's visibility and network. This position occasionally requires travel with the Transportation Logistics Society student club to area site visits to support experiential learning opportunities. The Coordinator is instrumental in maintaining the smooth execution of events and contributing to the programmatic content, positioning this individual as an essential liaison within the college's ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have either a Master's or Bachelor's degree coupled with over two years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and work exposure as outlined by Florida Statutes. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is necessary, and familiarity with budgeting and financial tracking software is considered advantageous. The University emphatically values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, and the chosen candidate will join an environment that supports these foundational principles. This role also entails compliance with Title IX policies, highlighting a commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful community.

Overall, this opportunity provides a significant platform for a professional keen on contributing to educational excellence and community engagement in the fields of transportation and logistics, combining administrative expertise with event management and stakeholder engagement.
