Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of kitchen experience
  • ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • must be able to stand for long periods
  • capability to work long hours in a hot and crowded environment
  • understanding of safe food handling procedures
  • able to follow recipes and portion controls
  • willingness to work as part of a professional kitchen team

Job Qualifications

  • positive attitude and ability to work well with team members
  • basic cooking skills
  • ability to remain calm and work well under pressure
  • knowledge of safe food handling and sanitary procedures
  • minimum 1 year kitchen experience
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • ability to use a variety of food service equipment effectively

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion control guidelines
  • safely use food service equipment including grills, fryers, stoves, knives, slicers, blenders, choppers and ovens
  • maintain safe food handling practices in compliance with health regulations
  • help with preparation and fill in other kitchen roles as needed
  • set up stations and restock items ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • cook food to correct temperature and present dishes attractively
  • clean and sanitize kitchen, dishes, storage areas and equipment after service
