The role of Cook at Army Navy Country Club is a vital part of the culinary team, directly contributing to the quality and consistency of food served across the club’s restaurant and banquet services. As a Cook, the individual will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to detailed recipes and portion control guidelines. The role demands high standards of cleanliness, organization, food safety, and presentation to meet and exceed the club's standards and member expectations. Candidates will be expected to understand grilling procedures, proper food temperatures, timing, and plating techniques to ensure every dish is served with precision and care.

Job Requirements

  • at least 1 year of kitchen experience
  • ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds

  • able to follow recipes and portion controls
  • willingness to work as part of a professional kitchen team

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion control guidelines
  • safely use food service equipment including grills, fryers, stoves, knives, slicers, blenders, choppers and ovens
  • maintain safe food handling practices in compliance with health regulations
  • help with preparation and fill in other kitchen roles as needed
  • set up stations and restock items ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • cook food to correct temperature and present dishes attractively
  • clean and sanitize kitchen, dishes, storage areas and equipment after service
