This particular role of Cook Helper/Dishwasher is a paid position that offers an impactful opportunity to serve others in a meaningful healthcare setting. The position is scheduled from 2 PM to 8 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday, with occasional morning shifts on weekends and holidays—days off are flexible. In this role, the Cook Helper/Dishwasher will be instrumental in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the dining and kitchen areas. Responsibilities include operating dishwashing machines to properly sanitize dishes and cooking equipment, setting up and maintaining dishwashing and pot washing areas, cleaning production equipment, removing waste regularly, adhering to safety and hygiene standards, and assisting with food preparation and plating when necessary. The role is not only about manual tasks but aligns with the larger mission of Gulf Coast Village to serve with heart and purpose, ensuring residents receive care in an environment that prioritizes their dignity and comfort. Job Duties

  • Operates dishwashing machine to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment
  • sets up and maintains dish and pot washing areas
  • cleans production equipment as needed or directed by supervisor
  • removes waste from building on a regular basis
  • maintains or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
  • follows daily and weekly cleaning schedules
  • practices all safety and loss prevention procedures
  • assists with food preparation and plating when necessary
  • attends all in-services as required
  • performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
