The Patina Restaurant Group is now hiring experienced cooks to join their team for the upcoming PGA Championships, a high-profile event requiring culinary expertise, dedication, and teamwork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment where quality and precision in food preparation are paramount. The employment is seasonal, aligned specifically with the event dates, and comes with a structured schedule that spans eight days, from Sunday, May 10, through Sunday, May 17, with specific shift times each day.

As a Cook for the PGA Championships, your primary responsibility will be to prepare food according to specifications both prior to and during the event. This involves accurately measuring and portioning food items, ensuring compliance with all department rules, policies, and quality standards. You will be expected to proficiently use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, and ovens. Maintaining proper food temperatures, correctly storing food items, and guaranteeing the freshness and quality of all menu selections are crucial aspects of the role.

Attention to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation is essential, as you will be responsible for keeping your workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, stocked, and sanitized at all times. You must adhere strictly to all health codes and sanitation regulations while managing waste efficiently by following established waste control guidelines and documenting spoilage accurately. Completing end-of-day inventory and other opening and closing duties as outlined in checklists and procedures will also be part of your responsibilities.

This position demands physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks such as chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping various foods and liquids. The job frequently requires standing and walking throughout the entire shift, lifting large pans weighing up to 50 pounds, and the ability to reach, bend, squat, and push or pull equipment. Working in a busy kitchen environment characterized by moderate to high noise levels, heat, and humidity is to be expected.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least six months of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food service position, be able to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes, possess basic math skills for calculating measurements and proportions, and be available for the entire event schedule. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
