The role of Lead Dietary Team Member in this Senior Living Community focuses on overseeing and executing dietary services that are both nutritious and appealing to residents and staff. This position is vital in ensuring that dietary needs comply with state guidelines and resident-specific requirements, including special diets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and innovation by designing motivational meals and organizing special event menus that promote a positive dining experience and enhance resident satisfaction. This leadership role includes supervising meal preparation for approximately 100 residents and staff for three meals a day, ensuring adherence to preset menus and recipes while allowing for appropriate substitutions when necessary. Additionally, the position involves maintaining meal service areas and kitchen stations, executing proper sanitation protocols, and handling supply management and equipment maintenance. The Dietary Lead must be proactive in identifying and responding to dietary requests and needs of residents, supporting team members, and promoting food safety standards. Job Duties
- Prepare or assist in prep for 3 meals daily for approximately 100 residents and staff
- proficiency in following preset menus and recipes as required by state guidelines including substitutions
- monitor residents for dietary requests and needs
- prepare creative and entertaining meals for special events, holidays or motivation
- prepare dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking
- clean kitchen machines and appliances such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers
- unload and store deliveries
- sweep and mop floors, especially after spills or breakage
- take out trash and rinse garbage cans
- support other restaurant staff by assisting with tasks as needed
- report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
- clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving
- transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand trucks
- perform other duties as requested
