Lactalis American Group, part of this global family of companies, is currently seeking a Cooker Operator III at their facility in Nampa, Idaho. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the cheese-making process, focusing on blending products back into production while maintaining stringent quality standards. The Cooker Operator III holds responsibility for the operational flow of cooker equipment, ensuring that the product meets both efficiency and quality benchmarks. The Cooker Operator III is expected to meet efficiency targets without compromising product quality. Key responsibilities include the physical handling of cheese racks — removing, unloading, feeding onto conveyors, stacking empty racks, and ensuring accurate completion of critical control point (CCP) documentation and line operation paperwork. Maintaining sanitation standards and workplace organization is essential, along with taking immediate corrective actions whenever product quality deviates from set specifications. The role also includes active participation in audits and adherence to ISO22000, ISO9001, and HACCP standards, reflecting Lactalis’s commitment to food safety and quality.

Candidates for this position should have a strong foundation in food manufacturing, backed by experience in the food industry or a manufacturing setting. Basic math skills are required to calculate averages and maintain operational metrics. The job involves physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional handling of weights up to 100 pounds. The role requires standing for the entire work shift, with repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, gripping, lifting, and reaching.
