Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook
  • knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
  • familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to meet the demands of the position including standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
  • strong command of English sufficient to read, write, and interpret administrative information

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook, ideally in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment
  • knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
  • familiarity with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the menu, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met
  • assist in the planning and development of menu items and recipes
  • ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, to temperature requirements, and to guest specifications
  • ensure dietary requirements, and food allergy restrictions are strictly adhered to
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment to ensure optimal working efficiency
  • manage food inventory and storage, minimizing waste
  • encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
  • attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, and annual training
  • other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents
