The Cook position at Proof of the Pudding is vital within this premium culinary department. This role is focused on assisting the culinary team in the execution of game-day catering operations and other related food service activities at the University of Georgia. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, the Cook will engage in pre-event preparations, active cooking during event days, and post-event clean-up. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards throughout the entire process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, capable of producing consistent, high-volume food according to precise recipes.   • Must live near Athens, ga
  • Must be available for the majority of uga event days
  • Experience working in a kitchen or stadium is preferred
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a high volume and timely manner
  • Must be a phenomenal team player

Job Duties

  • Maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas
  • Maintaining the highest level of service, safety, and food quality for each event
  • Running food on game-days, assisting in the organization of menu items according to BEOs and event information
  • Preparing items according to a recipe
  • Cleaning and organization of kitchen equipment and product
  • Assisting the culinary management team in all assigned tasks
  • Performs other related duties as needed
