The Cook position demands a professional with a strong culinary background who is capable of maintaining consistent food quality and presentation across various food services. This individual will be responsible for preparing a diverse range of dishes according to exact specifications, ensuring timely and efficient service, and adhering strictly to sanitation and safety protocols. Working closely with sous chefs and other kitchen staff, the Cook contributes to menu planning, ingredient procurement, and daily food preparation tasks with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Moreover, the role encompasses maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment to protect the well-being of all employee partners and uphold the standards expected by our clientele.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a high-quality or upscale kitchen setting, a thorough understanding of food safety and sanitary practices, and certification in Serve Safe. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the Cook will regularly interact with team members and management to coordinate food preparation efficiently. A friendly team player attitude combined with a sense of urgency and dedication to exceeding member expectations is critical. The work environment involves operating standard kitchen equipment, managing cold and hot side cooking areas, and participating in receiving and storage duties as needed. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with exposure to typical kitchen conditions such as heat and cold. Job Requirements
- Prior experience as a cook

Job Duties
- Work knowledge of broiler, pantry and sauté stations
- Confer with sous chef for menu requirements and food supplies
- Prepare and cook food including a la carte items according to specifications and sanitary standards
- Portion food and issue to servers upon order
- Prepare all cold side items according to menus and specials
- Make daily preparations of menu items with high quality and presentation
- Assist in other food preparation for events as needed
- Clean work area and assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Operate kitchen equipment in safe and sanitary manner
- Report food supply shortages or station problems to supervisor
- Assist in receiving and storage of food
- Perform other duties as requested
- Cook hot side food items for banquets and assist other cooks
- Break down station by turning off equipment, lights and locking storage areas at shift end
