The role of a Cook at Aramark offers a dynamic and creative environment for those who love food and cooking. In this position, cooks play a central role in food preparation, following standardized recipes and production guidelines to deliver consistent, high-quality meals. You will be responsible for setting up your workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment and preparing those ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling. The role requires safe handling and use of various kitchen utensils, including knives, as well as operation of multiple cooking devices such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Cooks are expected to employ a variety of cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other food items.
Attention to detail extends to garnishing and portioning foods per established standards and proper food storage following strict safety protocols. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of work areas, utensils, and equipment is a continuous responsibility, supporting Aramark's commitment to health and safety standards.
