The Edison is set in an industrial space filled with vintage features, combining inventive American fare, live music, and handcrafted cocktails to create a theatrical and energetic environment. Guests at The Edison enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience that is both nostalgic and contemporary, making it a beloved destination in Disney Springs.
Delaware North is a global family-owned company with over 100 years of history and a legacy of delivering great experiences in iconic sports arenas, stunning national parks, exciting casinos, and other memorable locations. Their operations span the globe, supporting career growth and success for their team members through diverse opportunities in restaurants, hotels, sports, gaming, operations, and retail.
The Cook position at The Edison is a full-time role paying between $17.50 and $18.50 per hour. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of food preparation and kitchen operations that contribute to the venue's reputation for quality and innovation. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food according to portion sizes, quality standards, and department policies. You will ensure that all food items are properly cooked, stored, and packaged while adhering to all health codes and sanitation regulations.
In addition to food preparation, you will maintain cleanliness and organization at your workstation, coolers, and equipment, ensuring a sanitized and well-stocked environment. Waste control is also a critical part of your responsibilities, where you will follow guidelines and document spoilage to minimize loss. The role requires performing opening, closing, and side work duties along with end-of-day inventory tasks to support smooth kitchen operations.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position who can read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes, and apply basic math skills for recipe accuracy. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reach high shelves, bend, squat, stand, and walk throughout shifts often conducted in moderate to high noise levels and variable temperatures.
Delaware North values the personal and professional well-being of its team members and offers a comprehensive benefits package. These benefits include weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible employees may also qualify for health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement.
Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a legacy that cares about its people and their growth, in environments where hospitality, innovation, and excellence come together. The Edison exemplifies this commitment by providing a workplace where creativity, energy, and passion for food and service thrive. This Cook role invites you to be part of a team dedicated to delivering memorable experiences to guests while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic setting.
