Morrison Healthcare is currently hiring temporary Cook positions at Christian Hospital located at 11133 Dunn Road, Saint Louis, MO 63136. Cook team members must also attend in-service and safety meetings and promptly report equipment maintenance needs or hazards. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous culinary or food service experience preferred
- Ability to work 1st and 2nd shifts and every other weekend
- Availability for temporary schedule with variable days and hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in kitchen
- Ability to follow safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment
- Reliable transportation to Christian Hospital location
Job Qualifications
- Previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
- Experience using kitchen equipment effectively and safely
- Strong attention to detail and quality control

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and maintaining food temperature and presentation standards
- Tastes all prepared food items for quality assurance
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen and work areas maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely and maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Follows all safety protocols including proper use of gloves and footwear
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures per HACCP standards
