The company is currently hiring immediately for a temporary Cook position located at AEP 1RP - 1 Riverside Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215. This role offers a temporary schedule from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The hourly pay range for this position is between $20.00 and $22.00, reflecting the value Eurest places on skilled culinary professionals. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a background in deli station experience, although some training will be provided to help new hires succeed. The position is designed to ensure that food service meets federal, state, and corporate standards and regulations while maintaining superior quality.
As a Cook at Eurest, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and meeting production and service schedules. This includes portion control, taste testing, and ensuring all food served is attractive, tasty, and held at the correct serving temperatures. The role requires meticulous attention to cleanliness and safety, as maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment is paramount. The Cook will also operate and maintain kitchen equipment, assist in production planning, inventory control, and the ordering and receiving of supplies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a food preparation role preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- capacity to use kitchen tools and equipment safely
- willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
