The company is currently seeking a full-time Cook Supervisor to join the team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital located at 1350 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30901. This vital role requires a seasoned professional with previous food service leadership experience in healthcare settings, focused on overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of top-quality meals that meet strict health and safety standards. The Work schedule is full-time, with varying days and hours to be discussed during the interview process. The pay range is competitive, offering $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. As a Cook Supervisor at Morrison Healthcare, you will be tasked with directly supervising food-service associates, implementing company policies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will train employees, plan, assign, and direct their work efforts while appraising performance, rewarding achievements, and addressing any disciplinary matters as they arise. An essential part of your role will also involve advising management regarding purchasing needs to minimize waste and avoid product shortages. You are expected to use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality control, proper serving temperatures, and standard portioning. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating kitchen equipment safely, maintaining strict adherence to sanitary guidelines including HACCP, storing and rotating food items appropriately, and participating actively during meal service to receive customer feedback. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of food service operations within a healthcare context to ensure that every meal served meets the highest standards of safety and nutrition.
