As part of the larger Elior North America family, Summit is committed to ensuring that incarcerated individuals receive nutritious and appealing meals during their time in correctional facilities. This company places a strong emphasis on social interaction during meal times, enhancing the overall wellbeing of those they serve. Summit operates within the corrections segment, uniquely focusing on distributing food in a secure and efficient manner, thereby playing a vital role in the correctional system. Based in Sparks, Nevada, Summit offers employment opportunities that allow workers to contribute meaningfully to foodservice distribution efforts in correctional settings nationwide.

The Warehouse Worker role at Summit is a part-time, onsite position located in Sparks, NV. This position is a critical component of the food distribution chain, where the warehouse worker supports the loading, unloading, and accurate labeling of food products destined for correctional facilities across the country. Employees in this role will handle logistical tasks that ensure smooth operations within the warehouse as well as timely delivery of meals to various locations. The role requires strong organizational skills to maintain efficiency and accuracy in the distribution process, with a focus on safety and compliance with foodservice standards. Salary ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position within the food distribution environment. Summit offers a dynamic workplace environment where those dedicated to operational excellence and food distribution can thrive, supported by a company culture centered on growth and professional development. Employees have the opportunity to build essential skills that not only help in their current duties but also prepare them for advancement within Elior North America or other related sectors.

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and quality of food products as they move from the warehouse to correctional institutions. Responsibilities include preparing orders by accurately loading trucks, adhering to safety protocols during the movement of goods, and labeling products precisely to avoid any miscommunication during transportation. This ensures that each correctional facility receives the correct items in good condition, which supports the broader mission of providing healthy meals to those in custody. The warehouse worker position is ideal for someone with previous experience or interest in warehouse operations, logistics, or foodservice distribution, and who possesses excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Working onsite in a correctional facility context requires reliability and the ability to operate within a secure and structured environment. Summit and Elior North America take pride in being equal opportunity employers and foster inclusive work environments that welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and skill sets. Joining Summit means becoming part of a team that is not only focused on operational success but also dedicated to social responsibility in correctional foodservice provision.
