The Cook Supervisor role at Summit is a key leadership position within the correctional facility's kitchen team. This role demands coordination and supervision of culinary staff to uphold efficiency and adherence to high standards in a fast-paced environment. The Cook Supervisor will be responsible for instructing and training employees in all facets of food preparation and sanitation, ensuring meals are served promptly and meet quality benchmarks for portion size, presentation, and temperature. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of culinary experience in a high volume setting
  • previous supervisory experience
  • knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow instructions and train others
  • strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • availability to work full-time onsite in Santa Rosa, California

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • excellent attention to detail
  • ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • high-level product knowledge
  • experience supervising a team
  • friendly and helpful customer service skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • preferably holds a Food Handlers certification

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
