Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment
  • thorough knowledge of culinary methods and sanitation standards
  • ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • experience supervising a team
  • food handlers certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • high-level product knowledge
  • ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • experience supervising a team

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
  • ensuring meal services begin on time
  • ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
  • coordinating the work of kitchen employees to achieve operational efficiency
  • supervising a team of kitchen staff
  • maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
  • monitoring inventory and supplies to ensure availability for meal preparation
