Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year culinary experience in a high volume food service environment
  • Experience with scratch cooking
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Availability to work onsite full-time

Job Qualifications

  • At least one years prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • High-level product knowledge
  • Friendly and helpful customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
  • Ensuring meal services begin on time
  • Ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
  • Supervising culinary staff to maintain efficiency and adherence to established standards
  • Coordinating daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced correctional environment
  • Managing compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Providing leadership and support to team members
