The Cook Supervisor role at Summit’s correctional facility kitchen team in Saint Louis, Missouri, offers a unique opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to take on a leadership and supervisory position. In this role, the Cook Supervisor will coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen employees, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality benchmarks. Responsibilities include training staff on correct food preparation and sanitation methods, monitoring portion sizes, food presentation, and temperature control to ensure meals are delivered on time and meet rigorous standards. The Cook Supervisor must have at least one year of culinary experience in a quality, high-volume kitchen setting, with a strong emphasis on scratch cooking techniques. Prior experience supervising a team is essential to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of culinary experience in a high volume kitchen environment
- knowledge of culinary methods and food safety standards
- ability to train and supervise kitchen staff
- excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- strong communication abilities
- availability to work full-time onsite in Saint Louis, Missouri
- Food Handlers certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- At least one year prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
