The position of Cook Supervisor at Summit's correctional facility in Woodstown, New Jersey, is a full-time, onsite role focused on managing and supervising kitchen staff within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is critical for ensuring food quality, safety, and adherence to established culinary standards. The Cook Supervisor will have the responsibility of instructing and training employees on food service methods and sanitation practices, maintaining the timely start of meal services, and ensuring all meals meet the required standards for portion size, presentation, and temperature.
This role requires a minimum of one year of prior culinary experience in a high-volume environment that emphasizes scratch cooking methods. The ideal candidate must possess comprehensive culinary knowledge, be detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic setting. Supervisory experience is also essential, as the supervisor will oversee the work of others and ensure operational efficiency. Food Handler certification is preferred but not mandatory.
