Job Description

This position is for a Cook Supervisor who will be part of the Corrections team based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This is a full-time, onsite role that involves supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food preparation activities in a fast-paced environment. The Cook Supervisor will report to management and be responsible for ensuring all food items meet established standards of quality, portion size, appearance, and temperature. An important aspect of the role includes instructing and training employees on food service and sanitation protocols. This position requires a high level of culinary expertise particularly in scratch cooking with an emphasis on quality and volume production. The candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, be able to multi-task efficiently, and have prior experience supervising a team.

The employment offers a competitive wage of up to $20 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience in scratch cooking
  • prior supervisory experience in food service
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to work onsite full-time
  • attention to detail
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least one years' prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • experience supervising a team
  • high-level product knowledge
  • ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • food handlers certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
