The role of Cook Supervisor at Summit’s Farmington, Utah correctional facility is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive hourly wage of $21.00. This pivotal supervisory role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen staff to ensure food quality, safety, and compliance with established culinary standards. The Cook Supervisor will play a key leadership role in training employees, managing workflow, and maintaining high-quality meal production within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position requires significant culinary expertise and prior experience in high-volume kitchens, particularly with an emphasis on scratch cooking techniques.

In this role, the Cook Supervisor will be tasked with instructing team members on food service protocols and sanitation requirements, guaranteeing meals are served punctually and meet strict portion, presentation, and temperature standards. Their leadership directly impacts the smooth functioning of the food service operation, requiring excellent multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a positive and efficient workplace atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • at least one years' prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • experience supervising a team
  • ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • food handlers certification preferred
