Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of culinary experience in a high volume setting
- ability to pass background check required by correctional facility
- experience supervising a team
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- ability to work full-time onsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana
- excellent multitasking and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- At least one year prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
- experience supervising a team
- excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- strong customer service skills
- food handlers certification preferred
Job Duties
- Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
- ensuring meal services begin on time
- ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
- supervising kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and standards
- coordinating food preparation and service in a fast-paced correctional facility kitchen
- maintaining cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations
- managing team workflow and addressing any operational issues promptly
