The Specialty Dining Cook position at Corn Maiden, a unique dining venue nestled within Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, offers a remarkable opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about Southwestern cuisine. Corn Maiden delivers an elevated and authentic Southwestern dining experience inspired by the land and traditions of the Santa Ana Pueblo. The restaurant emphasizes locally sourced, garden-grown ingredients that celebrate the agricultural abundance of the Rio Grande River Basin and pay homage to Indigenous culinary heritage. This role is vital to executing a refined dining experience, where precision, creativity, and consistency are paramount.

As a Specialty Dining Cook, the individual will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating specialty menu items with attention to detail and culinary artistry. This position requires proficiency in fine dining techniques such as grilling, roasting, sautéing, and other specialty methods native to Southwestern cuisine. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace aligned with food safety and sanitation standards is essential. The cook will also support kitchen operations through prep duties, stock rotation, and foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment. Beyond technical skills, this role embodies the cultural storytelling integral to Corn Maiden’s menu, supporting the resort’s mission to honor tradition and create meaningful culinary experiences.

This position is ideal for those who have a minimum of two years culinary experience, preferably in fine dining or specialty regional cuisine, and are passionate about Southwestern, Indigenous, and locally inspired cooking. It offers the opportunity to work in a setting rich in culture and natural beauty, providing a supportive and inclusive environment where employees can learn, grow, and thrive.
