This resort is renowned for blending tradition, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality to provide unforgettable experiences for guests and rewarding career paths for its employees. Hyatt Regency Tamaya is more than just a workplace – it embodies a culture where respect for culture, inclusion, wellbeing, empathy, integrity, and innovation are foundational values. With a focus on creating meaningful connections and honoring the deep-rooted traditions of the region, Tamaya offers a unique hospitality environment that welcomes team members who value collaboration and cultural respect.
Hyatt’s purpose, "we care for people so they can be their best," is practiced daily at Tamaya through authentic care and a supportive work atmosphere. Employees here enjoy comprehensive benefits that demonstrate a genuine commitment to their health, wellbeing, and professional growth. From medical, dental, and vision coverage to mental health resources and paid time off, the resort’s employee programs prioritize total wellbeing. Additionally, team members benefit from opportunities like 12 free nights at Hyatt hotels worldwide, a 401(k) plan with company match, free meals during shifts, and free laundering of uniforms. Career development is strongly emphasized, offering various growth opportunities across Hyatt’s global portfolio and a workplace culture grounded in purpose and recognition.
Within Hyatt Regency Tamaya is Corn Maiden, a specialty Southwestern dining restaurant that delivers an elevated culinary experience inspired by the land and traditions of the Santa Ana Pueblo. The restaurant highlights locally sourced ingredients, many of which come from the onsite Tamaya garden, emphasizing sustainability, cultural respect, and culinary excellence. The menu blends regional flavors and agricultural abundance reflective of the Rio Grande River Basin, providing guests with nourishing and culturally significant meals.
The Specialty Dining Cook at Corn Maiden plays an essential role in this experience by preparing and presenting high-quality, sophisticated dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency. This position requires a passion for Southwestern and Indigenous cuisine, with an emphasis on scratch cooking and working with fresh, local ingredients. The role involves using fine dining techniques such as grilling, roasting, and sautéing, maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workstation, and assisting with kitchen prep and stock management. Beyond culinary proficiency, this position supports the storytelling behind the menu and contributes to a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate for the Specialty Dining Cook position has at least two years of culinary experience, preferably in fine dining or regional specialty cuisine, and a strong knowledge of kitchen techniques, food safety, and high-volume prep. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary, along with physical stamina for standing extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Experience working in an open kitchen is also preferred.
Joining Hyatt Regency Tamaya means becoming part of a team that is supported and valued within one of the world’s best places to work. Employees enjoy a workplace unlike any other—with unmatched natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and a community inspired by genuine care and connection. Whether you are starting your hospitality career or seeking to advance it, Hyatt Regency Tamaya offers not just a job but a fulfilling career path with meaningful experiences and opportunities to grow, belong, and thrive. Your future begins here–where your work matters and your professional growth is nurtured in a world-class resort setting.
