The role of Cook at Aramark offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to bring recipes to life while expressing their creativity. As a Cook, you will work with fresh ingredients and the best kitchen equipment, experimenting with different cuisines, flavors, and cooking methods. This position is designed not only for food preparation but also to ignite your passion for quality cooking within a supportive environment that values safety and production standards. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and production guidelines, setting up workstations efficiently, and managing ingredients through tasks such as chopping, mixing, and measuring. You will operate various cooking equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers to bake, roast, broil, steam, and cook meats, vegetables, and other foods.
The Cook is also expected to garnish and portion food according to established guidelines, maintain food safety standards by properly storing food and sanitizing work areas, and demonstrating excellent customer service by maintaining a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, and colleagues. Adherence to Aramark's safety policies and food handling procedures is crucial to ensure the security of company assets and a safe working environment. The position may involve physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking, as well as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous cooking experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work under physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

- Experience as a cook or in a related role required

Job Duties

- arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
