In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods using standardized recipes and production guidelines, ensuring that every dish served is consistent and delicious. You'll set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment, prepare ingredients through measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling, and safely operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. The position involves using multiple cooking methods, including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming, to create meals from meats, vegetables, and other food items. Proper food storage and cleanliness are vital aspects of this role, requiring strict compliance with food safety policies. Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment, including equipment and utensils, is essential to upholding Aramark's reputation for food safety.

Customer service is also a key element of the Cook position. You will maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent customer service to guests, clients, and coworkers alike. Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and/or walk and stand for extended periods
  • willingness to wear uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE)
