Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one year experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred
  • freedom from illegal drug use
  • freedom from drug and alcohol effects in the workplace
  • no history of abuse or neglect in healthcare settings
  • ability to perform physical demands including standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
  • ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • willingness to comply with facility safety, infection control, and emergency procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare palatable, nourishing, well-balanced meals to meet residents' nutritional and special dietary needs
  • supervise dietary department employees in the absence of the Dietary Manager

  • find replacements for absent staff
