Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous cooking experience preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work as part of a team
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Good communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

1-3 years of previous restaurant experience (preferred)
Scratch cooking experience (preferred)
Supervisory experience a plus
Possess a general understanding of the needs of the elderly as well as developmentally and physically challenged
Be cheerful, have an enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to learn new knowledge/skills

Job Duties

Preparing nutritious, appetizing, and attractive meals in accordance with the daily menu
Assure that food is cooked properly and all safety precautions are taken with regard to food handling and sanitation
Assist the servers in providing a smooth, efficient, and safe environment, inclusive of dining area
Be a team player and work well with residents and other departmental personnel
Provide our residents with a consistent, high-quality food service experience
