Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- must have a valid food handlers certificate
- two years experience as a cook or prep cook
- ability to lift 15 pounds at a time
- ability to sit for prolonged periods
- basic computer skills
- good communication skills
- ability to follow health and safety standards

Job Duties
- Prepares and presents breakfast, lunch and dinner daily
- creates and posts daily menus
- keeps work area neat and clean at all times
- cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, dishwasher, refrigerators, ovens, etc
- keeps track of food and supplies inventory
- prepares shopping list for purchasing coordinator
- supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures for quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests when applicable
