The Food Service Worker role at USA Health plays a crucial part in supporting the overall healthcare delivery system by ensuring that all food preparation and service adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position involves preparing food in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, following HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety, and serving patients, staff, and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner. Working closely with chefs and using standardized recipes, Food Service Workers maintain consistency in meal quality and portion control.

Food Service Workers at USA Health are responsible for a variety of tasks including following daily production schedules, maintaining sanitation procedures, recording production and waste logs, and resolving customer concerns effectively. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of applicable cumulative job specific experience
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Compliance with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to follow HACCP guidelines

Job Duties

  • Prepare food and serve customers in compliance with federal, state and local standards
  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Perform related duties as required
