Job Requirements

  • Experience in nutrition
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a busy kitchen including setting menus, ordering supplies and preparing meals
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 lbs
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods during the work day
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability
  • Ability to meet agency requirements for criminal background check
  • Must hold ServSafe Certification

  • Must be enthusiastic, creative, and qualified to provide good quality meals
  • Must be passionate about food, reliable, and hardworking
  • Attention to detail as demonstrated experience
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instruction
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check
  • Must hold ServSafe Certification

Job Duties

  • Plan menu and prepare food
  • Order and monitor supplies to ensure efficient operation
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements
  • Collaborate with other cook and program staff to serve quality nutritious meals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
