Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation required
  • knowledge and experience in working with elderly and previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to State/Local requirements
  • basic reading and writing skills
  • ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • clearance through FL Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation
  • knowledge and experience working with elderly residents preferred
  • previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to State/Local requirements
  • basic reading and writing skills
  • ability to communicate clearly in English

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
  • assist Culinary Services Coordinator in managing food service functions
  • maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen environment
  • follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • work with sensitivity and professionalism in service delivery
  • support dietary requirements of elderly and dementia residents
  • participate in employee appreciation events and team collaboration
