As a Cook at Arden Courts, you play a vital role in the wellbeing and satisfaction of our residents by preparing appetizing, nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences. Supporting the Executive Chef, you will assist in managing food service functions, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. This role requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism to ensure an industry-leading service delivery that contributes positively to the residents' dining experience. Your work will contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment, enhancing the overall quality of life for elderly residents, including those with dementia. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation
- Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state or local requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English clearly and understandably

- Knowledge and experience working with elderly populations
- Previous dementia care experience preferred
