Morada Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join their dedicated culinary team within their community. In this vital role, the Cook is responsible for preparing hot and cold menu items with proficiency across various cooking stations, including the grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line. The cook ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as specified by the menu cycle and standardized recipes while maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation. Key to success in this position is a demonstrated attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively within a team. Prior experience in senior living or related food service settings, especially with food production methods, portion control, and safety regulations, is highly valued. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and proper handling techniques
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Physical stamina to handle prolonged standing and kitchen duties
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living preferred
  • Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required

Job Duties
