The position available at Levy is for a Cook, Prep at Carmax Park, offering a wage range of $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. This role plays a crucial part in the kitchen team by preparing food items according to established recipes and safety standards. The Cook, Prep is responsible for efficient food preparation and customer service in line with federal, state, and local health regulations. This job requires attention to detail in food quality, safety, and presentation to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

As a Cook, Prep at Levy, you will obtain daily production schedules from the Chef and follow precise preparation instructions to produce meals that meet quality standards. Responsibilities include completing daily production worksheets, managing food storage and labeling according to policy, and adhering to HACCP guidelines to uphold food safety. The role demands tasting completed meals for quality control and maintaining clean and sanitized kitchen equipment. You will engage with customers by taking orders and serving items promptly and courteously from multiple service stations.

Physically, the position requires standing for extended periods and engaging actively with guests. You must be able to move materials up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate agility and stamina throughout your shifts. This role is suited for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where excellent customer service and teamwork are essential. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • follow HACCP guidelines
  • complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • resolve customer concerns
  • perform other duties as assigned
