The XXX position at Bon Appetit is a vital role focused on preparing food and serving customers in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The employee in this role will work closely with chefs, following daily production schedules and recipes to ensure quality and consistency in every meal served. Responsibilities include preparing menu items to exact portions, maintaining food safety standards such as HACCP, and ensuring proper storage and labeling of food products. The role requires operational duties that include equipment cleaning and maintenance, record keeping through production worksheets and waste logs, and addressing customer orders efficiently and with a friendly demeanor. Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in food preparation or customer service is beneficial

  • basic math skills for inventory and portion control

Job Duties

  • obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • follow HACCP guidelines
  • complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • resolve customer concerns
  • perform other duties as assigned
