The position of Back of the House Line Employee at Jason's Deli involves a dynamic range of duties essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen and food preparation areas. This role is responsible for various set-up positions including vegetable prep, fruit prep, salad bar set-up, front line and back line set-up, meat slicing, catering preparation, bread prep, and recipe adherence. Employees in this role also fulfill several job positions during their shifts such as sandwich maker, swing (floater), chip and pickle expeditor, end person on the line, drink person, back line maker, to-go expeditor, salad bar restocker, food runner, bus person, and dishwasher.
Working in this role requires flexibility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Employees are given a flexible schedule with the opportunity to work afternoon and weekend shifts, and compensation starts at $13 to $16 per hour, with additional income from tips. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- at least six months work experience preferred unless currently attending school
- ability to stand and be active for up to six hours
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively
- comply with city Department of Health regulations
- comply with company dress code
- maintain regular attendance
- no current communicable disease transmissible through food handling
