Now, Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring motivated and experienced full-time and part-time cooks to join the dynamic team at Pizza Ponte, a trending restaurant celebrated for its innovative menu and commitment to quality. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, culinary techniques, and ensuring high standards in food safety and presentation. As a cook at Pizza Ponte, you will play a critical role in maintaining the kitchen’s operational success by adhering to quality standards, properly operating kitchen equipment, and upholding all applicable health codes and sanitation regulations. This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, making it an attractive opportunity for culinary professionals and entry-level cooks looking to build a rewarding career in hospitality.
The role entails preparing food items that meet specific portion sizes and quality benchmarks, ensuring that every menu item is fresh, correctly stored, and packaged according to the restaurant’s specifications. Maintaining cleanliness and organized workstations, coolers, and kitchen equipment is a crucial part of daily duties. You will also be responsible for waste control by following established guidelines and documenting spoilage accurately. Additional responsibilities include performing opening, closing, and side work duties, as well as managing end-of-day inventory processes to align with operational policies.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
- standing and walking for the entire length of the shift in moderate to high noise levels
- manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids, and operate kitchen equipment
- exposed to variable temperatures
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position
- ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
- basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
- no high school diploma or GED required
Job Duties
- Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
- keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
- perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines
