Job Requirements

Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per federal, state, and Virginia Lottery
must successfully pass background check
must successfully pass drug screening
must be at least eighteen 18 years of age
must be able to work holidays and weekends
must be flexible with shifts

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
culinary apprenticeship or associate’s degree from a culinary institution preferred
some industry experience preferred
knowledge of basic food preparation and line work

Job Duties

Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment
prepares foods that are to be grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, poached or prepared in the pantry
ensures that all plates or pans served are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specifications
recognizes a variety of sauces and properly places them on entrees
keeps workstation neat and clean
assists co-workers to ensure efficient kitchen operation
performs duties for special events and parties
ensures cleanliness of working area and reports equipment safety issues
ensures proper storing of foods
ensures items are fully stocked and equipment in good condition
ensures proper closing down of workstations
assists with carving, cooking, setup, and teardown at special events
attends and participates in meetings
performs work regularly and predictably
responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces
other duties as assigned
