Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year experience cooking food for large groups or equivalent combination of training and experience
- ability to meet attendance requirements
- ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- ability to cook, taste, and smell food
- capability to perform physical duties including walking, standing, kneeling, or squatting
- willingness to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cold
- commitment to personal hygiene and food safety standards
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of acceptable and economical cooking methods
- ability to prepare and present food in a safe and sanitary manner
- experience with inventory management and food storage

Job Duties
- planning, preparing, cooking, and serving nutritional meals and snacks
- ensuring all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner
- cleaning kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances
- maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and food
- ensuring sufficient food preparation based on number of people served
- serving food and beverages including preparing plates for infants or people requiring assistance
- storing, refrigerating, and freezing foods safely and monitoring expiration dates
- preparing snacks and food plates after normal serving hours
- maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining room
- ensuring compliance with health regulations and personal hygiene of kitchen staff
- planning menus and purchasing necessary food and supplies
