Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience cooking food for large groups
  • ability to meet attendance requirements
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • ability to cook, taste, and smell food
  • capability to perform physical duties including walking, standing, kneeling, and squatting
  • ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to hot stoves, ovens, and cold freezers

Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare, cook, and serve nutritional meals and snacks
  • ensure meals are prepared and served safely and presentably
  • clean kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances
  • maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and food
  • store, refrigerate, and freeze foods safely
  • monitor food expiration and dispose of expired items
  • prepare plates for infants and those requiring assistance
