We operate in a residential care setting where quality food service plays a central role in the health and happiness of those we serve.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team. In this vital role, the Cook is responsible for preparing appetizing and nutritious meals tailored to the specific needs of our residents. The Cook also assists the Executive Chef in managing daily food service functions, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in compliance with safety and sanitation standards. This position requires someone who can maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the kitchen and dining areas. It demands physical endurance, as standing, walking, bending, and lifting are routine parts of the job. Additionally, the Cook should possess strong verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively with the elderly, including those living with dementia. This role is not only about preparing meals but also about delivering care and comfort through food, enhancing the overall resident experience.
We offer amazing benefits tailored to support our part-time staff, such as daily access to pay with ZayZoon, uniforms, employee discounts, appreciation events, an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off, and holiday worked premium pay. These benefits underscore our commitment to creating a supportive work environment where employees feel motivated and valued. Join us at Auberge and become part of a compassionate team dedicated to excellence in food service and resident care. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and providing meaningful service in a caring community atmosphere.
